After a year of comprehensive research by central banks across the globe on the benefits and limitations of digital currencies, OMFIF is hosting the annual Digital Monetary Institute symposium on 11-12 May. The symposium expands the discussion on practical and theoretical aspects of central bank digital currencies, stablecoins, cryptoassets and the future of money. In 2021 the first symposium brought together 115 central banks and 2,000-plus policy-makers, bankers, technology experts and investors.Join us virtually for the 2022 symposium where discussions will cover developments in CBDCs and balancing the roles of private and public money, regulation of big tech, stable-coins and crypto-assets, next steps for cross border payments and the future role of DLT in finance.
